ReadyNet GotW3 Firmware

In order to complete these steps, the user will have to download the Firmware. 

1. Power the router up and allow 5 minutes for it to start. 
   
2. Connect to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet port.
   
3. Open a web browser
   
4. Type 192.168.11.1 in the address bar.
   
5. Log in with the (user) and the password that is on the bottom of the router.
   

- User ID /Password is the router login.  

- SSID/Pass Phrase is the Wi-Fi login

6. Select the Administration tab on the top right side of the screen.
   
7. Select Firmware Upgrade.
   
8. Next to Local Upgrade select CHOOSE FILE.
   
9. Find the Firmware file.
   
10. Click Upgrade at the bottom of the screen.
    
11. The unit should reboot itself after the upgrade is complete.
    

This can be uploaded onto a ReadyNet router with or without a sim card. 

SIM card goes into the ReadyNet router Chip down, missing corner first. 

When logged into a router that does not have the update, you will see that the logo on the top left of the screen shows the ReadyNet logo.  Once the correct Firmware is loaded onto the router, you will see the Gotw3 logo.  This is how you can tell beforehand whether a customer needs to update their firmware. 

If customer does not have internet to download firmware;

Log into router

Click NETWORK tab

Click LTE tab

Next to APN: type “broadband’

Click save and reboot

This should be enough to get service to work, if the customer has signal and an active SIM.  Once the router is connected, have the customer download the firmware and upload it to the router. 

How to lock a frequency band

1. Change internet connection to 4G Only
   
2. Choose desired band with the BANDLOCK dropdown menu
   
3. Lock Cell should remain disabled.
   
4. Save & Apply (reboot not required)
   

The ReadyNet router will only show options for bands that are available based on the location of the device. 

BASIC INFORMATION

The following are the LTE LED statuses: (4G light – 3rd light from the right)

4. Steady Off = LTE disabled/ router booting
   
5. Steady On = LTE initializing
   
6. Slow Short Blink = LTE Retry Connection/No SIM
   
7. Fast Blink = LTE Connected
   

(note: SIM only initializes on router boot)

This means that if a SIM card is inserted into the router before it activates, the router will not recognize an active sim. You must unplug the router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and wait 5-7 minutes for system to reboot.

WiFi in the router is enabled by default. The WiFi settings, i.e. Enable/Disable; SSID is located under the “Wireless -> Basic” tab, and the Passphrase is located on “Wireless -> Security” tab in the router GUI.

The following changes are made to the router when gotW3 firmware is uploaded:

4. Replaces ReadyNet logo with gotW3 logo
   
5. Sets default APN to “broadband” (“Network -> LTE” tab)
   
6. Disables the default for ethernet WAN/LTE failover feature (“Network -> Connection Manager” tab)
   
7. Sets the default Primary WAN to “LTE”  (“Network -> Connection Manager” tab)
   

3 and 4 are steps that disable the blue WAN port in the back of the readynet router, as this is not something our customers will use.

5. Delete everything from the field next to “Pass Phrase” and enter desired password. 
   
6. Click Save
   
7. Click Reboot
